Welcome!


My name is Elli. I have an immense passion for personal happiness, self-improvement, and reducing conflict - both internal and external. This blog will serve as an outlet for all my ideas to improve happiness, implement self-improvement ideas and tips/tricks to track what works, what doesn't, and how we can all improve our life satisfaction in ways that matter.


My entire life, I've been running from one thing to the next. Recently, I asked myself for the first time where I enjoyed the journey. I had never even considered it. In elementary school, I couldn't wait to get to high school. By high school, I couldn't wait to get to college. By college, I couldn't wait to get to real life! Once real life hit me, all I wanted was to go back to college and actually enjoy it. Since I can't do that, I decided to start living my life as though it could actually be enjoyable in the present, and that radically changed my perspective.


I realized happiness would never come from chasing something external. I started law school this year, started setting and chasing my own goals, and made many new friends. So why aren't I consistently happy?


Turns out, happiness is only 10% circumstantial. The other 90% comes from genetics (50%), and your own outlook and behavior (40%). Happiness is not something to be found. It is something to be cultivated.


Now, some people are genetically predisposed to be happy! Those lucky people don't have to worry so much about creating their own happiness. But for the rest of us, it takes focus, concentration, and to be completely honest? Hard work.


I've been working tirelessly on my happiness for over two years now, and I feel like I've made a huge impact on my own life. I'd like to help you achieve the same in yours.


This blog might be for you if you:

  • Want ideas on how to improve your mental health (without the use of a therapist/professional)

  • Want ideas to improve your physical health (which is closely related to your mental health!)

So, let's get down to business. What's the main driver of passion and happiness in a world that makes it increasingly difficult to relax? Proactivity! We often spend our lives as passive observers, when we should be active participants.


Despite the obstacles life throws at us, it is possible to create our own future, and our own happiness. Creating and subsequently crushing goals is the best way to improve your own life and happiness index. Stay tuned and I'll teach you how!
