Welcome!


My name is Elli. I have an immense passion for personal happiness, self-improvement, and reducing conflict - both internal and external. This blog will serve as an outlet for all my ideas to improve happiness, implement self-improvement ideas and tips/tricks to track what works, what doesn't, and how we can all improve our life satisfaction in ways that matter.


I've been running from one thing to the next for my entire life. Last year, for the first time, I asked myself if I enjoyed the journey. The answer? I had never even thought about it. In elementary school, I couldn't wait to get to high school. By high school, I couldn't wait to get to college. By college, I couldn't wait to get to real life! Then, when real life actually hit me, I just wished I could go back to college and actually enjoy it while I was there.


I didn't take a single elective from middle school through college. To be fair, I got out of college a year early! So, while my experience was efficient, it could have been more enjoyable.


This year, everything was put into perspective for me, and I realized happiness would never come from cha


sing something external. I started law school this year, got into the healthiest relationship of my life, and made many new and fantastic friends both in and out of school. So why was I still not consistently happy?


Turns out, happiness is only 10% circumstantial. The other 90% comes from genetics (50%), and your own outlook and behavior (40%). Happiness is not something to be found. It is something to be created and worked towards.


Now, some people are genetically predisposed to be happy! Those lucky people don't have to worry so much about creating their own happiness. But for the rest of us, it takes focus, concentration, and to be completely honest? Hard work.


I've been working tirelessly on my happiness for almost exactly two years now, and I feel like I've made a huge impact on my own life. I'd like to help you achieve the same in your life.


This blog might be for you if you:

  • Want ideas to improve your physical health (which is closely related to your mental health!)

So, to get down to business. What's the main driver of passion and happiness in a world that makes it increasingly difficult to relax? Proactivity! We often spend our lives as passive observers, when we should really be active participants. We can create our own future, our own happiness. I realize that sounds cheesy, but it's true! Creating and subsequently crushing goals is the best way to improve your own life and happiness index. Stay tuned and I'll teach you how!
